GREYHOUNDS MAKE WONDERFUL PETS

Greyhounds make great pets, they are quiet, well mannered, and very easy to live with. They are friendly, lazy, calm, affectionate, clean, loving, trusting, good-natured and very, very social.

They can retire from the sport at any age and for a variety of reasons. Here at the Launceston Greyhound Racing Club, we are not only committed to our greyhounds welfare while they are racing, but we are a partner with The Greyhound Adoption Program Tasmania (GAP Tasmania) ensuring that all our dogs find a loving home on their retirement at whatever age that may be.

  Grant is a playful boy who loves to amuse himself by throwing his own tennis ball around.  He is independent and likes to have his own space at times.  He Loves to toss his bedding around until he finds “his spot”.  He is currently undergoing assessments an not yet ready for adoption however we cant wait to see Grants progress and uncover more of his personality.

  Drake has loads of personality.  He is high energy, thrives around people and takes them in with his infectious, goofy nature.  He is getting along with all of the other dogs here at GAP and is settling in nicely.  We cant wait to provide more information on this beautiful big boy as he progresses through his assessments.
